Ask Merriwell

An AI wedding planner that works on your plan, and waits for your yes.

Tell it what you want in plain words. It reads your guest list, budget, checklist, order of the day and table plan, answers from your own figures, and puts any change on a card. You tap Approve, or you don't. Nothing happens until you do, and for 30 days Undo puts back whatever hasn't changed since.

What it does in each tool

It works through the tools you already use. It reads your own plan to answer, and for changes it makes a card.

Guest list
Tells you how many are coming, can't come and haven't replied, for the wedding breakfast and for the evening reception.
Checklist
Tells you what's done, what's due this month and what needs catching up on.
Budget
Tells you the total, what's paid and what's left to spend, in pounds, and what's due next. Turns a pasted quote into budget lines, or records a payment, on a card for you to approve.
Order of the day
Reads back your running order, from the ceremony to the last dance.
Drinks calculator
Reads back the numbers you saved.
Table plan
Tells you how many tables are set and how many guests still need a seat, and suggests a table plan for you to approve.
Monday check-in
On Plus, an optional email each Monday with three things for the week, written from your plan.

What it never does

The approve step is the main guard. These are the rules around it.

Privacy

It sends the least it can to answer: counts, dates and totals. Email addresses and phone numbers are taken out of anything you type or paste before it goes, home addresses from your guest list are never sent, and it asks for guest names only when a question needs them.

Your plan and your chats are kept in our database in the EU. To answer, the text goes to Anthropic in the US. Anthropic doesn't train on this data and deletes it within 30 days by default. You can clear your chats any time, and they are deleted when your wedding is.

Everything it writes carries an AI tag, so you always know who wrote what.

Price

Every request counts as one, big or small. A message that fails, is refused or takes too long doesn't count, and sending it again doesn't count twice. A suggestion you decline was still a request, though. Partners share the wedding's allowance.

Questions from UK couples

Does it know about giving notice?
It can add "Give notice at your register office" to your checklist and count the days for you. It does not give legal advice, and it doesn't invent deadlines or fees. For the rules where you are marrying, it sends you to your register office.
Does it plan a wedding breakfast and evening reception?
Yes. It uses your words: wedding breakfast, evening reception, order of the day. It reads your guest numbers for each of the two, so it can tell you who is coming to the wedding breakfast and who joins for the evening, and it can suggest a table plan for the wedding breakfast.
Does it use £ and UK costs?
Yes. Money is in pounds and is never converted, dates run day then month (12 June 2027), and the spelling is British. The costs it tells you come from your own budget, not from guesses.
Where is my data kept?
Your plan and your chats are kept in our database in the EU, and they are deleted with your wedding. To answer a question, the least it needs (counts, dates and totals; email addresses and phone numbers are taken out first, and home addresses from your guest list are never sent) goes to Anthropic in the US. Anthropic doesn't train on it and deletes it within 30 days by default.
Is it free to try?
Yes. Each wedding gets 10 free tries, once. After that it's part of Plus, which is £5 a month for 300 requests a month, or £79 once for 100 a month.
Does it recommend suppliers?
No. It never recommends, ranks or links to a supplier, venue, shop or brand. If you ask for a photographer, it offers to add "Book a photographer" to your checklist with a budget line.
What if it gets something wrong?
Nothing changes until you tap Approve, so a wrong suggestion changes nothing in your plan. It does still count as a request, even if you decline it. For 30 days, Undo puts back what hasn't changed since, and anything you've changed yourself is left as you have it. Figures come from your own plan, not from the AI's memory, and if it can't do something it says so.
