How to use this guest list

  1. Add your first guests. Type a first and last name to start a household, then add the rest of the family to it. Children and plus-ones are marked, so the count comes out right.

  2. Split day and evening guests. Edit a household and choose day or evening. The list groups them, so you can see who's at the ceremony and breakfast and who joins later.

  3. Mark who's coming. Set each guest to waiting to hear, attending or can't come. The count at the top updates as you go.

  4. Send your RSVP links. With a free account, every household gets its own private RSVP link and QR code. Send it in a message or email, or print it on the invitation. Day guests answer for the day and the evening, evening guests see only the evening, and their main course choices come straight to you.

  5. Import a spreadsheet. Already have a list? Choose a CSV file or paste rows from a spreadsheet, say which column is which, check the preview, then add.

  6. Print it, save it and share it. Print a clean copy for the venue meeting. Create a free account to keep the list safe, share it with your partner, and collect postal addresses with a link guests fill in themselves.

Guests are kept in households, because that is how invitations, addresses and tables work: one envelope, one family, one table. Your list is the same list the table plan uses, so you only enter everyone once.

Frequently asked questions

How many guests should we invite?
It depends on your budget, your venue's capacity and the day you want. Many couples start with a long list, sort it into people they must invite and people they'd love to invite, and let the replies settle the rest. Add everyone here and the count shows you where you stand.
What's the difference between day and evening guests?
Day guests come to the ceremony and the wedding breakfast. Evening guests join for the evening reception, often from around 7pm, with a buffet or a bite to eat. Many venues and caterers price day and evening guests differently, so it helps to see the two counts separately.
Do plus-ones and children count as guests?
Yes. Add a plus-one to the guest they're coming with, and mark children so you can see adults and children separately. Caterers and venues usually price them differently, and both count towards your seats.
How do I collect postal addresses?
With a free account, make a link for each household and send it in a message or email. Guests type their own postal address and it goes straight onto your list. There's also one link for everyone; addresses from it wait for you to check them first. You and the people helping you plan can see them; nobody else can.
Can I import a guest list from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Choose a CSV file, or paste rows copied from a spreadsheet. You say which column is which, check a preview, and nothing is added until you confirm. Any dietary column is left out, because guests give those details themselves.
Where do dietary requirements go?
Dietary requirements are personal, so guests give them to you themselves when they reply. Only you and your partner can see them, they aren't in the spreadsheet download, and you can't type them in on a guest's behalf, which keeps the details accurate and in the guest's hands.
Can I invite some guests to the evening only?
Yes. With a free account, your list has a Day event and an Evening event. Invite each guest to the ones they're coming to, and you'll see who's attending, who can't come and what everyone is eating for each. Guests invited only to the evening show under Evening guests, and each event has its own table plan.
Do guests need an account to RSVP?
No. Each household opens its own private link (or scans the QR code on the invitation) and replies in about a minute. Nobody signs up, nobody accepts terms, and we never send guests marketing. Only you and the people helping you plan see the replies.
Can evening guests reply online too?
Yes. An evening guest's link shows only the evening reception, with no main course question. Day guests answer for the day and the evening separately, so the wedding breakfast and evening numbers both come out right for your caterer.
What about invitations printed without a QR code?
Make one link for everyone and print that instead. A guest types their name and their postcode or email address, and only then sees their own household. It never shows anyone else's name.
How do I word "and guest" on the invitation?
Write the guest's name and "and guest" (for example "Ms Ruby Hale and guest", with no full stop after Ms), and give that household one plus-one on your list. When Ruby replies, she types her guest's name, so your table plan and place cards have it.
Is there a limit on the number of guests?
No. The guest list has no limit, free or paid.
Is it free, and is my list private?
It's free, and you don't need an account. Your list is saved only in your own browser. If you'd like to keep it safe across devices and share it with your partner, you can save it to a free account.
