Wedding anniversary calculator: your next date and its gift

Put in the date you were married to see your years together, the days to your next wedding anniversary, the weekday it lands on and its gift. Kept on the page only.

Type in the date you were married and you will see how long you have been married, when your next wedding anniversary falls, how many days it is away and which day of the week it lands on, together with the traditional and modern gift for that year.

Everything is worked out on this page. We do not keep your date or pass it on, so there is nothing to sign up to.

Your wedding date

Years married, days to go, the day of the week and the gift, all worked out on this page.

Choose the day you were married. The date stays on this page, and we neither keep it nor send it on.

Remind me every year

One email a year, on the morning of your anniversary, with that year's gift. It is free, and one tap stops it.

How wedding anniversaries are counted

A wedding anniversary falls on the same day and month as your wedding each year. A couple married on 14 June 2027 reach their first wedding anniversary on 14 June 2028, their silver wedding after 25 years and their golden wedding after 50.

Years married is the number of anniversaries already behind you. The next one is the first that is today or later, so on the day itself the calculator tells you it is today.

A wedding on 29 February

There is no 29 February in most years. In a year that is not a leap year the calculator counts 28 February, and in a leap year it counts 29 February.

If you would rather keep 1 March, do. The date our yearly email uses is 28 February.

Which gift lists does it use?

The gifts come from the lists on our wedding anniversary gifts by year chart: Papier's list for the traditional gift and Bridebook's modern list for the modern one. For a year the lists skip, such as the 18th, the nearest milestone is shown and labelled.

How to find your next wedding anniversary

  1. Put in your wedding date. Choose the day you were married in the box above. The year matters, because the calculator counts the years from it.

  2. Read the date. The result gives which wedding anniversary comes next, its date and its weekday, so you know whether to book a Saturday table or a weeknight.

  3. Check the countdown. Days to go are whole calendar days. Zero means today, and 1 means tomorrow.

  4. See the gift. The traditional and modern gifts for that year appear together. If the lists skip the year, you see the nearest milestone, labelled as such.

  5. Ask for a reminder. Sign in for one email each year on the morning of the day. It costs nothing, and one tap stops it.

Questions people ask

How do I work out how long we have been married?
Count the wedding anniversaries you have already passed. If you married on 14 June 2020, you reach six years on 14 June 2026, and until then this year you have been married five. The calculator does the counting.
How many days are there until our wedding anniversary?
Put your wedding date in the box. The result counts calendar days from today to your next wedding anniversary, and says so plainly if it is today or tomorrow.
When is the anniversary if we married on 29 February?
In a year that is not a leap year it is counted on 28 February, and in a leap year on 29 February.
Can I use it before the wedding?
Yes. Put in your wedding date and it shows your first wedding anniversary, a year later, and the days until it.
Does it keep my wedding date?
No. The sum is done in your browser, the date is neither stored nor sent, and this page never passes it on. If you ask for the yearly reminder, you do that after signing in.
Which gift does the calculator show?
The traditional and modern gifts for your next wedding anniversary. When the lists have nothing for that year, it shows the nearest milestone and tells you it has.
