Anniversary calculator: your next anniversary and its gift

Enter your wedding date to see how many years you have been married, how many days until your next anniversary, the day it falls on and its gift. Nothing is saved.

Put in the date you were married and this calculator works out how many years you have been married, when your next anniversary is, how many days away it is and which day of the week it falls on. It also shows the traditional and modern gift for that year.

It runs in your browser. The date is not saved and not sent anywhere, so there is nothing to sign in to.

Your wedding date

Years married, days to go, the day of the week and the gift, worked out in this page.

Pick the day you married. Your date stays in this page. We do not save it or send it anywhere.

Remind me every year

One short email on the day, with the gift for that year. The yearly email is free, and one tap stops it.

How anniversaries are counted

Your anniversary is the same month and day as your wedding, every year. The first one comes a year after the wedding, so a couple married on June 14, 2027 reach their 1st anniversary on June 14, 2028.

Years married is the number of anniversaries you have already passed. The next anniversary is the first one that is today or later, so on the day itself the calculator says that day is your anniversary.

If you married on February 29

Most years have no February 29. In a year that is not a leap year, the calculator counts your anniversary on February 28. In a leap year it is February 29.

Some couples prefer March 1, and that is your call. The date we use, here and in the yearly email, is February 28.

Which gift list does it use?

The gifts come from the same lists as our gifts by year chart: Leah Ingram's US list for the traditional gift and Bridebook's modern list for the modern one. For a year the lists skip, such as the 17th, the nearest milestone is shown and says so.

How to work out your next anniversary

  1. Enter your wedding date. Pick the day you married in the box above. The year matters, because the calculator counts the years from it.

  2. Read your next anniversary. The result says which anniversary is next, its date and the day of the week, so you can plan a weekend dinner or a weeknight.

  3. Check the days to go. The countdown is in whole calendar days. Zero means it is today, and 1 means tomorrow.

  4. Look at the gift. You get the traditional and the modern gift for that year. If the lists skip the year, the nearest milestone is shown and labeled.

  5. Ask for a reminder. Sign in to get one email on the day every year. It is free, and one tap stops it.

Questions people ask

How do I work out how many years we have been married?
Count the anniversaries you have already passed since the wedding. If you married on June 14, 2020, you reach 6 years on June 14, 2026, and before that date this year you have been married 5 years. The calculator does this for you.
How many days until our anniversary?
Enter your wedding date above. The result counts calendar days from today to your next anniversary, and says so plainly if it is today or tomorrow.
What if we married on February 29?
We count your anniversary on February 28 in a year that is not a leap year, and on February 29 in a leap year.
What if my wedding is still to come?
Enter the date anyway. The calculator shows your first anniversary, a year after the wedding, and how many days until it.
Is my wedding date saved?
No. The sum runs in your browser, the date is not stored and nothing is sent to us. If you ask for the yearly reminder, you do that after signing in, and this page never passes your date on.
Which anniversary gift does it show?
The gift for your next anniversary, traditional and modern. When the lists have no gift for that year, it shows the nearest milestone and says that is what it has done.
